More than web design

Your website is only one part of the system.

We connect the customer-facing website to the operational systems behind the business, so what a customer sees matches what the warehouse, the ERP, and the accountant see.

Customer facing

Storefront

  • Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce
  • Catalog, search, and merchandising
  • Checkout, accounts, and B2B pricing

The part nobody sees

Integration layer

  • APIs and middleware we build
  • EDI documents for trading partners
  • Scheduled syncs and error handling

Operations

Systems you already run

  • ERP and accounting
  • Warehouse, inventory, and 3PL
  • Shipping, fulfillment, marketplaces

Magento specialization

Magento is where our experience runs deepest.

  • Hyvä storefronts
  • Adobe Commerce
  • Version upgrades
  • B2B and dealer pricing
  • Catalog and PIM data
  • Performance tuning
  • Custom modules
  • Managed hosting

Chicago Web has worked with Magento since 2008, handling complicated catalogs, custom modules, upgrades, performance work, B2B pricing, and the hosting the platform actually needs. Hyvä and Adobe Commerce included.

Magento extensions you install yourself are a separate brand and are sold at toweringmedia.com. What you buy here is the development, integration, and support.

Built for businesses with moving parts.

We are best suited to organizations whose website has to agree with real operations — not brochure sites that never touch another system.

Ecommerce companies

Catalogs where inventory, pricing, and fulfillment have to stay correct all day.

Manufacturers and distributors

Operations already running an ERP, a warehouse, and trading-partner requirements.

Complex catalog businesses

Thousands of SKUs, variants, kits, and rules that break ordinary themes.

B2B organizations

Account pricing, dealer portals, punchout catalogs, and approval workflows.

Process

Senior attention without enterprise-agency overhead.

  1. Step 1

    Understand the business

How orders actually move, which systems are involved, and what is currently breaking.

  2. Step 2

    Design the right solution

Scope, design, and an integration plan you approve before development starts.

  3. Step 3

    Build and integrate

Development, data migration, and the connections to ERP, warehouse, and shipping.

  4. Step 4

    Support and improve

Hosting, monitoring, and ongoing development after launch instead of a handoff.

Chicago

A Chicago web design and development company since 2008.

We have been designing and developing websites in Chicago for 18 years — the same city, the same phone number, and the same senior people on every project. Chicago clients get a team in their own time zone that can get on a call when something on the site is costing money.

What our clients say

We have been working with Chicago Web for quite a few years. They host our Magento website and also do the programming and graphic design work. They have a very reliable team and always get the job done.

Brenda LockeLawkStarGuitars

We have multiple Magento websites, and as we expanded into a multi-million-dollar online retailer, Chicago Web has been the hosting and development team we needed. Fast, knowledgeable, and serious about conversions.

Bill BrinkVapeCraftInc

Close to a decade of sites, SEO, and the unglamorous maintenance that keeps a catalog current. Polite, responsive, and excellent at the job. Full package, including hosting.

Frequently asked questions

What types of websites does Chicago Web build?

Custom business websites, WordPress sites, and ecommerce stores on Magento, WooCommerce, and Shopify. Chicago web design and development has been the work since 2008, and most projects also involve the software behind the site rather than the pages alone.

Do you specialize in Magento?

Magento is where our experience runs deepest — complicated catalogs, custom modules, B2B and wholesale pricing, Hyvä front ends, performance work, and Adobe Commerce. We also build on Shopify and WooCommerce when that is the better fit.

Can you connect our website to an ERP or warehouse system?

Yes. That is a large part of what we do: connecting the storefront to ERP, accounting, warehouse and inventory systems, 3PLs, shipping, EDI trading partners, and marketplaces. We are not an ERP vendor — we integrate the systems you already run.

Do you build custom software?

Yes. Business applications, customer and dealer portals, dashboards, workflow automation, and custom APIs — usually because an off-the-shelf tool does not match how the business actually operates.

How much does a project cost?

It is quoted after a short discovery call, because a focused business website and a 10,000-SKU catalog wired to an ERP are not the same job. You get scope and price in writing before anything is built. Hosting is published: managed WordPress from $19.95/month and managed Magento from $79.95/month.

How long does a project take?

A focused website is usually a matter of weeks. Ecommerce builds, replatforms, and ERP or EDI integrations run longer, because catalog data, business rules, and testing drive the schedule more than design does. You get a timeline with the proposal.

Do you provide hosting and ongoing support?

Yes. Managed hosting on US servers for WordPress, WooCommerce, and Magento, plus patching, monitoring, and ongoing development. Most of our clients stay for years rather than a single project.

Do you only work with businesses in Chicago?

No. We are based in Chicago and a lot of our work is local, but the live sites in our portfolio run from Toronto to Minnesota. Chicago clients simply get the same team in the same time zone.

How do we begin a project?

Call (773) 466-2454, email support@chicagoweb.com, or send a note through the contact form. The first conversation is about the business and the systems involved, not a pitch deck. Hours are 9–5 CST.

Let’s solve what is slowing your business down.

Describe the website, the catalog, or the system that is not keeping up. We will tell you what it would take to fix it — and whether we are the right people for it.
